Senator Bassey Albert with Senate President

Senator Bassey Albert has drawn the attention of the senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the deplorable state of the Ikot Ekpene-Itu-Calabar highway. In a motion brought under order 42 of the standing order of the senate under urgent national importance, the senate voted for the presentation of a substantive motion by senator Bassey Albert in the next legislative day upon resumption of the senate on July 28th, 2015. This motion will be co-sponsored by all the senators of Akwa-Ibom and Cross River states with senator Bassey Albert as the main sponsor, which will bring about an urgent attention by the relevant agencies of Federal Government to arrest further dis-integration of the road and to save the lives and properties of the citizens around the affected area.
