UNIUYO Scholars thank Senator OBA

As part of its 2017 appraisal exercise, management team of Senator Bassey Albert scholarship scheme visited some students (beneficiaries) of the University of Uyo, town Campus, Thursday.
The team led by a consultant to the programme, Engr. Promise Etim, was at the University to appraise the performance of beneficiaries domiciled in the institution.
The team had earlier visited beneficiaries of the scheme studying at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture – Umudike, University of Calabar, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, University of Port Harcourt and Akwa Ibom State University.
The scholars led by Comrade Iboro Williams, praised the Senator for funding their education through the scheme and pledged to be good ambassadors of the programme.
It could be recalled that 81 scholars across the nine (9) Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom North East (Uyo Senatorial District) were selected as beneficiaries during an aptitude test conducted in May 2016, with University of Uyo dominant.
The scholarship scheme covers 100% tuition fees of beneficiaries and stipend of ten thousand naira per semester.
